Born and raised in the castle hill section of The Bronx Cesar developed
an intense passion for music. Ever since the age of five he has been
singing and dancing at home and in school performances. Later he came up
through the ranks, developing his vocal skills in the Lehman High School
Choir. While growing up Cesar’s musical influences were Latin and
American musical legends such as “El Gran Combo”, “Marc Anthony”,
“Hector Lavoe”, “Luther Vandross” and “Donnie Hathaway” to name a few.
For Cesar, singing had always served as a release from life’s trials and
tribulations. Once he graduated High School Cesar ventured out into
acting and working as an extra in films, and commercials (Adidas and
Tostitos) in the hopes of becoming a familiar face and voice. In the
meantime he was singing at various local community events, talent shows,
churches and special venues and he is currently pursuing his career at
full force.
In addition to Churches and community events Cesar has also sung with
the “Circle of Sisters Program” at the “Symphony Space” and the “Jacob
Javitz Center” with the “Praysing Hymme” gospel ensemble. Venturing out
Cesar has also performed at the “Latino Expo”, “The Global Tech
Institute”, “The Broadway Comedy Club” and an award ceremony at Lehman
College for Dr.Guillermo Linares, the commissioner of the department of
immigration.
Cesar feels a deep need to give to others with his music. He believes
that the most important gift you can give an audience is honesty and
above all real music. Cesar is a talented young artist who’s familiarity
of urban love and life pulse with the “Street Cred” that is born of
authentic emotion and personal experience. At this moment Cesar’s focus
is to continue singing and pursuing his musical career. He promises to
captivate the hearts of those who hear him sing with his melodic soulful
and tenor voice. |
